Learning done… not qualified yet!
Since March I have been studying hard for these study days…
I have read lots of books including Fifteen Minutes to Freedom by Harry Pickens, You're better than you think you are by Angela Cox, Why has nobody told me about this before? by Dr Julie Smith and Dare to Lead, by Brent Brown.
I have completed a 48 hours of online modules and met the standards for each one.
I did a full one day zoom event on 14 June - getting to see the other members of the first ever cohort of this training. You could say we were spearheading the coaching revolution.
Then a full five days residential immersed in the training, both being coach and client for other trainees. I won't say it was an easy week. I knew I had prepared well and I know that as an experienced coach there was a sense of expectation laid before me. I found it tough to be the client and it brought up a few issues for me. Luckily, the support from Angela during the course was well received and I am thankful for her care.
After the week, I spent three days decompressing, consolidating my learning and reflecting. It brought the learning to a close, however there was more to come in the form of written assignments.
